Birchbox September 2017 Unboxing | Oliver Bonas Edition

12th September 2017

Firstly, who else has lusted after anything Oliver Bonus for as long as they can remember? Their home ware genuinely makes me want to shed a tear. It’s #instagoals all damn day. The Oliver Bonas motto is ‘work hard, play hard & be kind’, which has inspired this month’s Birchbox assortment of beauty goodies. They have picked products that work hard, so you don’t have to. Everyone’s got time for a quick fix, so let’s get into Birchbox September 2017:

Manna Kadar, Fantasy 3-in-1 Blush, Highlighter & Eyeshadow

Every month Birchbox give you a little sneaky peaky into what you can expect for the following month. And this is it. I absolutely adore this product; it is such a stunning shade. It’s a very neutral champagne pink, shimmery shade that I personally cannot wait to slap over my eyelids. The consistency is so buttery; I cannot wait to see what I can do with this little guy.

Dr. PawPaw, Original Clear Balm

So for all of you who are unaware (me), pawpaw is a fruit that contains natural healing properties. Making it the perfect ingredient to make a multi purpose moisturiser from. It can be used as a lip balm, a hand and nail moisturiser or anywhere you fancy in all honesty. I’m mega excited to give this a whirl, especially with the colder weather on its way – my lips and hands are going to need some serious TLC.

Polaar, IcyMagic Instant Eye Contour Energiser

There’s always one product in every box that I’m the most excited about, and this is it. I have noticed recently that the bags under my eyes are certainly not Chanel. So something that can make me look and feel a smidgen better rested, I’m in. As the name may suggest it is meant to cool and soothe the under eye area, reducing puffiness and dark circles. And potentially most exciting of all, it’s meant to stimulate eyelash growth! A product that makes me look more awake AND makes my eyelashes longer?! Witchcraft.

Beauty Protector, Protect & Detangle

In the true spirit of working hard, this little baby claims to do it all. It claims to ‘condition, detangle, minimize frizz, protect coloured hair and add shine to all hair types’. This sounds heavenly, and I’m not just talking about the scent, my lord it’s good. As well as all these amazing claims, that I am getting all kinds of involved with, this product is free from parabens and sulphates. Could it get much better? Didn’t think so.

ARROW, BOOST Colour Enhancing Lip Balm

When I saw there was a second lip balm in this month’s box I was a little gutted. And then I read the information card and all was forgiven. This lip balm adjusts to your individual pH balance! In other words, this lip balm will change to a different shade on each person. How bloomin’ cool is that? Side note: how sad would it be if you didn’t like the shade it turned? Heartbreak. I’ve already decided this little guy is going to be living in my gym bag for maximum usage.

And that’s it, another Birchbox down! This is one of my favourite boxes I’ve received so far as I genuinely like every single product, and they’re all designed to be lazy girl friendly. Thumbs way up. Let me know if you received anything particularly good in a subscription box, or if you’ve discovered another lazy girl product!
