So for the first time in the history of ever – I managed to post a blog post every single day for a week. Which in itself is a miracle as for the past 6 months or so I’ve barely uploaded altogether. And whilst I absolutely loved it and loved putting out new content everyday, and letting my creativity flow throughout the week. It was pretty bloody exhausting, as I work full time alongside my blog and social channels.
So I kept a journal of everything that happened throughout the week, the mundane, the unfiltered, the real version of what my week looks like. Not just the nicely curated blog posts and the uploads to Instagram, that make everything look a little brighter and more colourful.
7:20am out of bed and get ready for the day.
8:00am post to Instagram and upload first story of the day.
8:20am out the door and to the station to catch my train, whilst mindlessly browsing my IG feed and commenting on my favourite posts.
9:00am – 1:00pm start work, eat cornflakes, scream internally at all of my unanswered emails.
1:00 – 2:00pm run to the gym for a spin class, proceed to throw up a smidgen from going too hard in the sprints. Shower, sort out beetroot looking face and sweat drenched hair and race back to my desk for soup.
2:00 – 5:00pm werk werk werk werk werk.
5:00 – 6:00pm skip merrily out of work and dart off to the station to catch the earliest train, walk for a mile in the dark with my handbag, my gym bag and my laptop bag all in tow. Trying desperately not to bash anyone off the pavement with my additional mass.
6:00 – 7:30pm cook and inhale dinner, bath and skincare regime and set up laptop ready for blog writing.
7:30 – 11:00pm writing 2 blog posts, editing and SEO checks before scheduling. Draft IG upload for the following morning, pack gym bag for tomorrow and lay out tomorrow’s work attire.
11:15pm SLEEP.
7:20 – 1:00pm exactly the same damn thing as yesterday
1:00pm – 2:00pm throw some kettlebells around in a class of just me and pray I don’t dislocate my shoulder like an OAP, shower, contend with sweat hair and face and scuttle back to work.
2:00pm – 11:15pm exactly the same damn thing as yesterday.
7:20am – 12:00pm exactly the same damn thing as yesterday
12:00pm – 1:00pm lunch break; unsuccessful run around the shops to find outfits to wear for shoot at the weekend, forget to get lunch and sprint to Tesco whilst ordering mountains of cloth from ASOS.
1:00pm – 5:30pm exactly the same damn thing as yesterday
5:30pm – 8:00pm have cutsie dinner with Ben as haven’t seen him in nearly a week, before getting a last minute email about a collaboration with a due date of tomorrow (huzzah). Run home and frantically plan what to film for a video for the very first time.
8:00pm – 12:30am film video, camera battery runs out half way, charge whilst I edit existing footage, start filming again, watch YouTube videos about how to work iMovie, complete rough video to submit in the morning.
12:45am SLEEP
7:20am – 12:00pm exactly the same damn thing as yesterday plus an additional ‘I hate my job and it’s stressing me out’ cry in the toilets.
12:00pm – 1:00pm queue in post office for 25 minutes to return clothes order, run to Tesco for supplies to get through hideous afternoon.
1:00 – 6:00pm exactly the same damn thing as yesterday.
6:00 – 7:00pm try on ASOS delivery and hate every single thing, panic that I have no money in my account as it’s all sat in this mammoth ASOS bag. What bills are coming out? When is payday? Why is January the worst month ever?
7:00 – 8:00pm have every highstreet app open on phone to find last minute inspiration for impending shoot on Saturday and find nothing.
8:00 – 11:15pm dinner, bath, skincare, 2 blog posts written, edited and schedules, IG drafted for the morning, pinning away on Pinterest, and SLEEP.
7:20am – 12:00pm exactly the same damn thing as yesterday and realise yesterday’s cry is a result of period. Yay.
12:00 – 1:00pm sprint around highstreet desperately trying to find some outfit inspo for Saturday’s shoot, drop a lot of £££ and lug 2 big bags back to the office without being seen and judged. Plus eat Krispy Kreme Original doughnut, it’s been a stressful week.
1:00 – 5:30pm exactly the same damn thing as yesterday.
5:30 – 6:00pm beg Ben if we can get Pizza Hut as it’s the only thing that will heal my cramps, plus y’know, just really want pizza.
6:00 – 12:00am eat pizza, watch season 2 of The Punisher (hot damn is it gory), chill the hell out, SLEEP.
8:30 – 10:15am attempt to wake up, shower, try on all purchased clothes and pack bag to take to London to shoot later in the day, do makeup, do hair and out the door.
10:15 – 11:15am drive around trying to find a skirt that fits me for shoot, pay £1.50 in parking for less than half an hour and drag Ben around Topshop.
11:20 – 11:45am look around potential house for Ben and I, decide instantly it’s miles too small and swiftly evacuate.
11:45am – 12:30pm travel to London for photos with Katie
12:30 – 4:00pm shoot photos with Katie in the freezing cold, subtly use every coffee shops toilets to change in and shovel in a portion of Nandos peri-peri fries.
4:00 – 7:30pm travel home from London, panic as cannot connect camera to laptop with all new content, frantically phone Ben and fixes problem in 0.79 seconds, sift through photos and weed out mug shots, edit good photos left, shower, unpack bag and repack to stay at Ben’s until Monday morning, upload to IG.
7:30pm – 12:00am travel back to Ben’s, have dinner and giggles with his family, shower and fall asleep watching New Girl.
9:00am wake up and scroll leisurely for 45 minutes whilst I wait for Ben to stop snoring and have puppy cuddles with Betsy.
10:00 – 11:30am post to IG, write up impromptu blog post and upload right then and there – FEARLESS.
11:30 – 1:00pm battle the crowds at Tesco for lunches for the week, and buy salted caramel and choc hot cross buns for Sunday snacks, yuuuus.
1:00 – 6:00pm graze on all the food, watch all the episodes of The Punisher, Modern Family and squeeze in a lil nap.
6:00 – 8:00pm inhale Ben’s mums top notch roast, watch Gemma Collins make a tit of herself on Dancing On Ice and play with Betsy until she gets bored of me.
8:00 – 11:00pm chill out with Ben, pack bags ready for morning commute, weep softly turning my alarm on for 6:45.
AND DO IT ALL AGAIN.
I loved this, so interesting to see what you get up to in the day. I was thinking of doing something similar but I’m afraid my life is too boring…

Loved this post! So refreshing to see the schedule of a blogger that doesn’t have all the time in the world to get things done! I’m starting a new full time job on Monday and I’m dreading it after a little bit of time off to just do me, but this has reassured me blogging won’t have to take a back seat x
