‘Conceal and Define’ Is Breaking The Blogosphere, Why?

14th January 2018

Is there literally anything that Makeup Revolution can’t do? They’re forever killing it with their high quality and low price tag culture, and they’re finally branching into concealers. YUUUUS.

I skipped to my local Superdrug and the shelves, to my horror, had already been pillaged. But the makeup Gods were smiling down on me, and right at the very back (clearly someone else had hidden them and was planning on coming back) was C1 and C3 – my exact shades. Apologies if they were yours but I’m not that sorry xoxo.

Packaging

The packaging itself is bloody gorgeous. Sticking with the simple rose gold hardware that Makeup Revolution usually goes for, it is so on trend and they know it. There are 18 shades to choose from, so I’m pretty sure there’ll be something for near enough everyone.

The tube itself is a little chunkier than a normal tube of concealer, however you get even more bang for your buck. And at £4.00 to start with, you really are getting your money’s worth.

The doe-foot applicator (that sponge on the end of the wand. I know, I didn’t know it had a name either?!) is bigger because the tube is wider than normal. Meaning it is slightly tricker to get into those nooks and crannies, however a small flaw all in all.

The before & after

This is my #iwokeuplikethis face, apologies for getting you in so close to my pores you could fall into them. Like little canyons. And forget you’ve ever seen my un-pomaded, comb over brows. Plz and fanxs.

before makeup

And then this photo is my skin with just the shade C1 under my eyes, and C3 over any obvious discolouration I’m sporting. And I’m super impressed!

Makeup Revolution Conceal & Define Concealer

Consistency

The product is very heavy duty. It is incredibly thick, and a little really does go a long way. I did my usual upside-down triangle makeup trick when concealing the under-eye bags, however you only need a thin layer as I quickly learnt.

It just glides over the skin and blends out beautifully. I did notice that it settled in the pores around my nose, which I wasn’t a massive fan of. If you’re also in the ‘big pores 4eva’ group, then it really is the time rolex pearlmaster 39 buy fake to slap on some primer and you’ll be good to go.

Coverage

It does exactly what it says on the tin. It is exceptionally high coverage, and will hide a multitude of sins. I picked up 2 different shades, C1 (the lightest, obvs) for my under-eyes to brighten and counteract the blue colouring. And C3 to conceal any blemishes or discolouration. And I must say, my under-eyes have never looked so bright. It’s like I’ve gone to bed early everyday since I was straight out of the womb. And any redness or blemishes with the C3 literally vanished. COLOUR ME IMPRESSED.

Wearability

As this is so heavy duty, I personally won’t be wearing it everyday. It is the perfect concealer if you were going on a mega night out, or you had an all day event and you want to guarantee that your makeup won’t be budging.

I’ve already planned that I’ll be using C1 for my under-eyes and to get a SERIOUS contour on the go. I want it to look like you could cut yourself on my cheek bones, and this is how I’m going to do it.

In all honesty, I wish this little gem had been around when I was really suffering with my acne. There were some days where no matter how much product I put on my face, it looked as though I hadn’t even bothered. So to my acne babes, this little guy has got you covered on those dreaded flare up days.

Have you tried Makeup Revolution’s ‘Conceal & Contour’ yet?
