I’ve barely touched any of my goodies from my last box, and here we are with another (click HERE for last months unboxing). Unless you’ve been living under a rock you’ll know that October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month. In honour of this Birchbox has teamed up with the charity CoppaFeel, who’s mission is to eradicate late detection of breast cancer. So in every box as well as a whole host of treats in collaboration with this mission, there are leaflets and stickers of signs to look out for. Awareness is key, and early prevention really can make all the difference. So I beseech you all to read the signs in the photo below and go and grab yo boobs. And now let’s get into the Birchbox October 2017 Unboxing!
Who doesn’t love a cheeky bit of contour? Carving out those cheekbones and chiseling off those extra biscuits from your jaw line, it really is a miracle. When it comes to powder contour it is a little more tricky, as it’s a struggle to be precise and more often than not the brush has a mind of its own. The amount of times I’ve ended up with cheekbones practically on top of my jaw line because the powder hasn’t settled right. Whereas with a stick, just slap it on where you want and it’s so easy to have precision. And this Contour Stick from ModelCo is such a gorgeous warm toned brown it’ll bring an instant sunkissed vibe to look, as well as not appearing ashy. No one wants that!
I’ve heard so much about this brand, even having the micellar water in a previous Birchbox. However, the smell of the micellar water did make me incredibly sad and this face wash smells the same. It’s not a bad smell, it’s just not what I’m used to and is likely due to the fact the product is 99% natural. So doubtful they’re going to stick artificial perfumes in there. Regardless of the smell I’m definitely going to give it a try and see what wonders this natural goddess to do to my skin.
This instantly made my laugh. I adore the name, and surprise surprise the shower gel does actually smell like melons. This product was included to encourage actually checking your boobs whilst in the shower. It seems as good a time as any right?
Now, I’m adore dry shampoo probably more than most seeing as I only wash my hair twice a week. Yet the concept of a dry shampoo paste doesn’t sit right with me. You basically have to rub the paste into your hands and massage it into your scalp to get rid of excess oils and add volume. I’m skeptical but I’ll give it a go, prove me wrong R + Co, prove me wrong.
A moisteriser that not only tackles dryness, but firms at the same time!? YES BLOODY PLEASE. This gorgeous body butter contains shea for hydrating, aloe for soothing and raspberry butter for texture, all perfect post shower. And then it contains seaweed extract to help naturally firm your skin. Seeing as your girl has got a little more chunky than funky recently, anything firming is going straight in my basket!
