Aloha my lovelies. A few weeks ago I received an exciting phone call from my sister. She was in a Sephora (that are near impossible to find in the UK) and did I want anything. Is the Pope Catholic, of course I do. As I didn't want her to trudge around the aisles on the phone to me, I set her a mission. I wanted some colourful makeup as I feel I've been playing it very safe recently. So off she went and she came back with these little goodies, it felt like my birthday! So let's get into the colourful Sephora haul:
She picked me up 4 AMAZING eyeshadows in colours that I would shy away from usually. There are 2 shimmer shades and 2 glitters, and they're all amazingly pigmented. The gold shade is called Gold Heart and is insanely glittery and is a typical 'yellow gold' colour, which I've found is so hard to track down. The second glittery shade is Pool Party which is a beautiful sky blue shade, and just like Gold Heart packed with glitter. The first shimmer shade is Stadium Fever , which is without a doubt the scariest eyeshadow colour for me being a deep green. However it's pigmentation is incredible and it blends beautifully, so I'm excited to start playing around. And finally a purple/grape shade called Speed Dating, which as you'd expect is amazingly pigmented and easy to blend.
When I saw these I didn't know what to do with myself, they're so beautiful but so far out of my comfort zone. I've seen so many people having a very natural makeup look but with a coloured winged liner, which just looks so lovely and summery. I need to be one of these people, and now I can be! The sea blue shade is the only matte one and is crazy pigmented, it's in shade No. 06 which I can't find anywhere on the Sephora website.
And then the other 2 eyeliners are glittery (do you think there's a theme?) and these are a deep pink shade which is No. 10 and a beautiful emerald shade in the colour No. 08. That being said, once I wiped away my swatches the emerald left a stain on my skin. Which only came off with some serious scrubbing, so beware of that!
Massive shout out to sissy for her fabulous choices. As always thank you for reading, follow me for future blog posts and head over to my Instagram for all the fun that happens over there! Until next time my beauties xx
