October Favourites 2017 | Chapter 10 Complete

2nd November 2017

This month has been an absolute whirlwind. I genuinely can’t remember the beginning of the month and what I did. All I know is I went out Saturday 14th in my highest of high heels and I’m yet to get the feeling back in one of my toes. Should I be worried? Probably. Am I going to do anything about it? Probably not. However, I have been trying out and finding some new goodies! So let’s get into the October favourites!

Skincare

As I’m sure some of you are aware I’m a brand ambassador for Botanics Skincare. So every month they send me new and exciting things to try out so I can let you know what I think. And this month my personal favourite was the ‘Radiant Youth’ Microdermabrasion Polish. What’s microdermabrasion you may ask? Well, it’s basically a very intense facial scrub. The particals within the scrub as much finer so it really does buff any dead skin cells and it has gingko extracts which brighten the skin after. It’s a fantastic at giving yourself that non-chemical, chemical peel, so it’s recommended that you use it once a week. I love this product so much I’ve gone out and bought one as a present for someone, it’s that real.

And secondly we have the Pixi Glow Mud Mask. I did a post not long ago about my first impressions of Pixi (spoiler I adored everything), however the mud mask for me came out the winner. It just does wonderful things to my skin. It drags out all the nasties that seem to live in my skin and keep it clean and blemish free for ages afterwards. I’ve only got the mini at the moment, but I’m going to be buying this baby in full size. I can’t live my life knowing this face-mask isn’t on hand when my skin needs it.

Makeup

Now, it’s no secret that I’m such a fan girl when it comes to Makeup Revolution. Their highlighters and eyeshadow palettes are some of my absolute favourites. And this little guy is no exception, the Liquid Highlighter in ‘Star Light’. It’s a gorgeous pearl/champagne shade that genuinely has the most intense glow that I’ve ever used. I could blind someone if I packed it on enough, and I am LOVING it. It comes with a pipette, so a few drops really is all you need and then some! And at £6.00 it’s cheap as chips and going to last you an age.

The next thing I’ve been loving is the FlaminGALs makeup brushes from Girls With Attitude. I was lucky enough to be sent these by the lovely ladies at the company and I am obsessed with them. Besides the fact that they are visually stunning and I didn’t actually want to dirty them up, they’re brilliant. They are so fluffy, so dense and thus far not a single bristle has been shed. Also because they’re so pretty I’m actually washing them regularly as I want them looking their best at all times. I suggest you go and give them a look!

Dark bloody chocolate digestives. I’ve tried and fallen in love with them a thousand times over this month. They’ve been my snack of choice, and my waist line has definitely felt the effects. Between the boyf and myself we must have been through at least 10 packets this month. Which is both disgusting and impressive. They’re so delicious and I’ve been choosing them over a chocolate bar, which I never ever thought would happen!

Dark Chocolate Disgestives
And finally, Halloween. I fricken love Halloween. I love the makeup, the spirit everyone gets into and the fact that it officially signifies that the cosy colder months are on their way. In honour of this I did #Halloweek, where all 3 of my weekly posts were Halloween makeup looks, and I fricken adored creating all these looks! If you’d like to check them out, I did Bambi, Frankenstein’s bride and Harley Quinn.

Lovely! I liked each and everything you mentioned. I am a big fan of microdermabrasion products but it’s difficult to find the one I will like. This one sounds great. The Pixi Mud mask is lovely and I have used it a few times and I like it a lot. Makeup Revolution – I have never tried and seeing everywhere I feel left out. I need it in my life. 🙂 The brushes are so cute.
