‘No Makeup’ Makeup Tutorial in 5 Products

17th August 2017

Hello again pumpkins! I think every girl in the world is guilty of the same thing. Claiming to ‘not be wearing any makeup’ when secretly, we are. We all do it. It’s not cheating, simply amplifying our natural beauty. I do this look a lot as 1. I’m super lazy and 2. it’s super quick. As this is a minimal look, I use as few products as I humanly can and thus there are 5 steps for my 5 key products for this ‘no makeup’ makeup look.

1. Concealer

I use the bareMinerals Correcting Concealer in the shade ‘Light 2’ to brighten up under my eyes and make it look like I haven’t been punched in the face. And then using the same product, I’ll cover up any blemishes or redness I want hidden away. This concealer is quite heavy duty without looking cakey, perfect for ‘no makeup’ vibes. I blend this is with my finger and go over with a large buffing brush just to set it down.

2. Brows

I’ve been obsessing over the NYX Tame & Frame Brow Pomade in the shade ‘Brunette’ for a few weeks, and I honestly don’t know how I lived without it. As someone who has zero eyebrow game, this has made it a hell of a lot easier. I’m able to shape my brows, fill them in and genuinely give them some definition. Rather than the slugs that have been sitting on my face the past 24 years. Again, amazing for this look as you can go as defined and dark or subtly filled in. Completely your call. For this I use a angled brow brush as the hard bristles make it so easy to keep the lines sharp and defined.

3. Lashes

I feel as though this is the crucial step, mascara is potentially my favourite makeup item. I love the fact it open and brightens your eyes with a few strokes, and as no one will be shocked by I’ve been loving the Too-Faced ‘Better Than Sex’ mascara (click HERE to see the full review of this beauty). The mascara is beautiful as it really grabs hold of your lashes, lifting and curling them and in such an intense black. A few strokes and it looks like you have gorgeous, naturally fluttering eyelashes.

4. Mineral Foundation

bareMinerals Original Foundation in N10 – Fairly Light is my holy grail when wanting to achieve that ‘I have naturally beautiful skin’ look. It provides amazing, yet subtle coverage. As it is a mineral foundation you don’t feel like you’re wearing anything at all. It is also ideal in the summer months as it doesn’t sweat off as easily, and it has SPF 15 so it’ll protect your skin from the cruel and ageing sun. Who says you can’t buy happiness eh? I do this by going back in with my large buffing brush, so there’s an even application and work it into the skin.

5. Bronzer

Once the base is on, I like to give my skin a bit of a sunkissed look and for this I use the Bourjois Bronzing Powder to achieve it. I used this for a subtle bit of contour on my cheeks but also around my temples, around my hairline and jawline. Making me looked sunkissed as well as naturally chiselled – a dream come true to my potato face. And this product smells of chocolate, what more could you possibly ask for? And for this I use a taped angle brush so it’s easier to get into the contours of my face and really define those cheekbones.

There we have it, my ‘no makeup’ makeup look! Let me know if you have tried any of the products mentioned. Or if you have any holy grails which I need to know about!

All of the brushes I used are from the Indy Luxe website and they are the Rose Gold 8 piece set. They are incredibly good quality as well as being super soft, which is a must for me! If you would like to get your hands on this set or another on their website – use code: BELLAINIZIO20 at the checkout for 20% off! You’re welcome angels!
