Stila ‘Stay All Day’ Waterproof Liquid Eye Liner Review

26th May 2017

Hola guapa! I can’t be the only one who has heard nothing but AMAZING reviews about this liquid liner, with even my babe Zoella featuring it a recent video. I’d been dying for a reason to purchase this little beauty, and when I saw Zoella use it … I had to. This isn’t the first and it definitely won’t be the last time ‘YouTube made me buy it’! It’s time for Stila ‘Stay All Day’ waterproof liquid eye liner review!

Initial Thoughts

It claims to be waterproof, fast-drying, long-wearing, smudge-proof and have a precision marker-like tip. Those I feel are some pretty bold claims. With me having naturally oily skin I find that throughout the day my eyeliner ends up being transferred above my eyelid. And the biggest one for me was the application, so I was excited to try this out.

From the very first stroke, I was hooked. The line was so clean, there was no fading and you had to make the stroke once. There was none of this having to go back over as the colour started to drop off. As the nip is so precise it was literally effortless to create a winged liner look, and it can be as natural or intense looking as you please – it is just as easy to make it bold as it is for a fine line. And one of my favourite features is that you shake the product (obviously with the lid on) and it completely refreshes the nip. That is without a doubt my biggest bug bear, when you’ve finished one eye and the pen starts to dry when you move onto the other eye.

Staying Power

Once I had completed my look, I went off for a day of work and a gym session. The ink was on my eyelids from 7:30am – 8:00pm and it has not budged. It had survived a day in the office and a ‘legs, bums and tums’ class (within which I sweated like a demon and couldn’t walk for the next 3 days, but that’s a different story). I was in absolute shock and a state of panic. If I hadn’t sweated this off, was it ever coming off?! And the short answer is yes, absolutely effortlessly with my normal skincare routine. There was no transfer, the colour intensity was still there and it hadn’t left the skin around the corners of my eyes flakey – which so many liquid liners do.

Final Thoughts

This product is a little more on the pricey side, however you need such a limited amount to create any kind of look. With others you had to go back over the build up the intensity, whereas it is there straight away with the Stila ‘Stay All Day’. I think it is definitely worth the initial investment and I genuinely believe that my search for the perfect liner is over. Never thought I would see the day. It has won my heart.

I got mine on feelunique.com which I have linked here if you wanted to take a look. Not only do they come in black, they come in essentially every colour you could want. And I couldn’t recommend them more highly if I tried!

As always thank you for reading my lovelies, let me know if you’ve tried this eyeliner and your thoughts! Be sure to follow the link below for future posts and take a peak at my Instagram & Twitter! And I’ll see you all next time! xx
