A Very Late What I Got For Christmas 2017

2nd January 2018

Happy New Year my little loves! I hope you’ve all sufficiently recovered from your NYE hangovers, and your first day back to work is flying by.

I’m slightly late to the party, however I had second Christmas on Saturday with my Dad so some of my gifts I had to wait for. Oh the first world problems are just too much eh?

WE INTERRUPT YOUR VIEWING FOR A DISCLAIMER. I’m not writing this post to brag, be an arse or anything of that nature. I genuinely love reading these posts myself and thought it would be nice to share some of my favourite bits. AS YOU WERE.

I received a hell of a lot of smellies, chocolate, vouchers and my family was generous enough to give me some money (which I’ve invested in a ‘proper’ camera – EEK. Counting down the days until its arrival now).

Michael Kors card holder & makeup bag

I did actually ask for the cardholder from my Mumma Bear AKA Santa this year. I have a lovely purse, however like the queen I am, I don’t carry cash. So I thought it would be practical to have a fancy lil card holder. As I’ve decided that I’m not allowed to buy everything in black anymore, ergo, a bright red is the natural choice.

And Mumma surprised me with the matching makeup bag, as mine are getting tatty AF. And yet, my first thought was ‘ooo I can save this to look beaut in flatlays’. Is that too extra?

Ted Baker rose gold stud earrings

Boyf and I had a budget this year and made each other a list, however he went rouge and bought me something off the list and over budget the cutie. He did so well picking these stunning rose gold and diamond-esque studs out. They’re going to be my everyday earrings, and are ‘a bitta me’ down to a T. (and before you say, yes I know my ears are very small and very weird. Can’t be blessed with everything eh).

Walk over the O2 and personalised Nutella

My boyf’s sister got me such a cool gift. She got Boyf and I a trip climbing over the O2, which I am buzzing for. We want to do it at night so we can see all the lights, however we might have to wait until the warmer months. Not about catching hypothermia, ta. And, she got me a jar of Nutella with my name on it. Can we just take a second? The jar and myself have an impending date with a Netflix marathon and a spoon.

Slippers

I got plural pairs of fluffy socks, as can you ever really have too many? But these little guys took the biscuit. LOOK AT THEIR HEDGEHOG FACES. These are those little non slip footsies, and they’re never being taken off. Period.

Red cross body bag

Now, my boyf is bloody remarkable at picking out presents. He text me a photo whilst he was perusing Topshop, and asked if I would like it. I adore the gold detailing and the combination of suede and faux leather. Not all heroes wear capes.

Kat Von D Lock It Foundation & Bow n Arrow Set

Again, this is something I asked for from ‘Santa’. I’ve seen such amazing reviews about the entire KVD range, and I needed to test it out. I got the Lock It Foundation in the shade ‘Light 48 Neutral’, which is a little pink for me, but perfect if I slap on some contour. And the Bow n Arrow set contains the iconic Everlasting Lipstick in the shade ‘Bow n Arrow’ and the Ink Liner in the shade Trooper. Lets see if this baby can give my Stila liquid liner a run for its money.

Leopard print boots

As I decided in my new mentalities post I’m going to be bolder with my fashion choices, I’ve gone right in at the deep end. Boyf picked up these mega cool boots from River Island and I am absolutely buzzing to wear them in some cheeky outfit shots in the coming months. However, 3 days after opening them they were in the RI sale for under half price. Not that I’m bitter or anything.

Makeup Revolution Ultimate Nudes 2018 brush set

Can you ever really have enough makeup brushes? Not to mention this set is utterly gorg and amazing quality considering the price point. Makeup Revolution I’m telling ya, it really is up there with my favourite brands.

Ted Baker makeup set

I think every blogger this side of the Atlantic got this set before or for Christmas. I’ll say it, the packaging is an almost perfect dupe for Charlotte Tilbury. And I cannot get enough of it. Watch this space for a full review!

Pixi Glow Tonic & Glow Mud Mask

Words cannot express my utter joy. I outlined in my Pixi review about how in love I had fallen with the Pixi products, and how I wasn’t in the position to sell my organs to purchase full size versions. However the babe that is my Dad’s fiancée reads my posts (hi Ali!) and got me the full sized versions of my favourite items. YUUUUUS. My skin is going to be bloody radiant for 2018.

Pixi Endless Silky Eye Pen Trio

My first bit of Pixi makeup, and I knew they wouldn’t disappoint. The colour pay off in these eye pencils is out of this world, they’re so creamy and just glide on. It comes in the shades BlackNoir, BronzeBeam and RoseGlow, and I’m especially excited to test out the rose gold shade and mix up my looks. The love affair with Pixi is just growing and growing.
