August Favourites | 3 Things I’ve Been Loving

2nd September 2017

Aloha squad! How’s everyone doing? Is everyone else in Britain as appalled by the August weather as I am? It has genuinely filled me with rage. Ah well, at least we have Autumn on the way and it’ll be acceptable to wear berry shades again – score! Throughout August I have found a whole host of new and shiny goodies, that I’ve been utterly obsessed with. So let’s get into the August favourites!

Botanics, Rosewater Toning Spritz – RRP £7.99

If you don’t follow me on Instagram you won’t know that I’m a brand ambassador for Botanics *high pitched squeak*. When they asked me to be involved I was sent through some goodies to try out, and this little gem was hidden away in there. I adore the simplicity of it, just spray it all over your face once you’ve cleansed. It makes my skin feel fresh and revitalised, and there’s been a noticeable difference in how clear my skin is. Even without all of those perks, it smells INSANE. To the point even my boyfriend has commented ‘I like the smell of that face spray, stuff’. You know it’s genuine if a boy notices.

NYX, Tame & Frame Tinted Brow Pomade – RRP £6.00

Sweet lord above. For someone who has no brow game, this has upped the ante to the next level. It is finally achievable for me to have sharp and defined brows, compared to the slugs I’ve become accustomed to. I was convinced eyebrow pencils were the way to go, boy was I mistaken. I think it’s because everyone rants and raves about the ABH Dipbrow Pomade, and I wanted to be cool and edgy and not follow the crowd. Unfortunately I’m pretty basic, and basic me is obsessed with brow pomades. The NYX Tame & Frame is so easy to use, it’s so affordable and it comes in a pretty wide range of shades. So I highly suggest giving it a go if you want those ‘on fleek’ brows. Do people still say ‘on fleek’?

Collection, Primed & Ready Fixing Spray – RRP £3.99

I’ve only recently discovered the joys of setting sprays, and I don’t want to go back to life before them. I’ve tried a few now, and they’ve all been okay but still a tad pricey seeing as I cake myself in the stuff every morning. As I’ve got oily skin, I need something that basically stops my makeup sliding off throughout the day. I picked up the Collection Fixing Spray on a whim, as it’s so cheap and I’ve been massively impressed with other products from the brand. And I’ve never been so thankful that I’m such a cheap so-and-so. This is magic in a bottle. It keeps my makeup on all day, with no trace of oil. If I put it on before my highlight I get the most blinding glow. I’ve been using it everyday for 2 months and it didn’t even cost me £4.00. Shout out to Collection once again for giving us the products we all dream of, for the price tag we all dream of.

And that’s the eighth month of 2017 done and dusted! Let me know what you’ve been loving throughout August! If you’d like to see my previous favourites blog, click HERE.
